Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers disclosed a marginal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.09% to Rs 376.60 million from Rs 368.90 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter declined 20.10% to Rs 4,745.90 million, compared with Rs 5,940.10 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.44, registering 2.06% growth over previous year period.
