Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL), a producer of automobile wheel rims, witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after it announced that in June 2015, total wheel rim sales in numbers stood at 10.28 lacs compared to 9.30 lacs in June 2014 representing a growth of 10%.
In terms of value, the company recorded growth of 14.9% and achieved gross turnover of Rs 1143.7 million in June 2015 compared to 995.2 million in June 2014. The company recorded growth of 14.3% and achieved a net turnover of Rs 1028.8 million in June 2015 compared to Rs 899.4 million in June 2014.
Passenger car segment was up 23% in June 2015, Y-o-Y. Domestic tractor segment volumes dropped by 10% June yoy. Exports dropped by 7.5% in June 2015.
Shares of Steel Strips Wheels are trading at Rs 299, up Rs 8.2, or 2.82% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 11:36 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 109.50% to 23,610 compared with 22-day average volume of 11,270.
