SRF, domestic leader in refrigerants, engineering plastics and industrial yarns, witnessed a sharp rise in share price on Wednesday after it announced sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2014.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 60.88% to Rs 768.50 million from Rs 477.70 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 9.99% to Rs 9,281.70 million, compared with Rs 8,439 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the comapny are trading at Rs 792, up Rs 120.45, or 17.94% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 11:39 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 793.40 and low of Rs 721.25. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 409,554.
