Indian equities continued to rise for the second day on Friday. At 9.38 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 8,035,185.79 points or 24,386.58% at 8,068,135.00 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 51.30 points or 0.50% at 10,218.00 with 46 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Bharti Airtel (2.34%), Tata Motors (1.90%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.61%) and Wipro (1.56%).
On the other hand, Coal India (0.49%), and Dr Reddy'S Laboratories (0.09%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 1,272 advances against 316 declines.
