Indian equities bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 11.30 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 223.09 points or 0.68% at 32,820.27 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 75.70 points or 0.75% at 10,119.80 with 45 components gaining.

Major gainers in the 30-share index were NTPC (2.20%), Maruti Suzuki India (2.16%), Tata Steel (2.08%), Bajaj Auto (1.95%), and Larsen & Toubro (1.66%).

On the other hand, Reliance Industries (0.19%), and Coal India (0.17%) were the major losers in the Sensex.

Market breadth was positive with 1,614 advances against 542 declines.

Kotak Mahindra Bank topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 967.06 million. It was followed by Shankara Building Products (Rs. 409.65 million), Kirloskar Ferrous Industries (Rs. 312.03 million) and Bharat Financial Inclusion (Rs. 234.36 million).

The volume chart was led by ICICI Prudential Bharat 22 ETF with trades of over 6.30 million shares. It was followed by Suzlon Energy (5.28 million), RattanIndia Power (4.74 million) and Himachal Futuristic Communications (2.94 million).
