Indian equities ended lower on Wednesday snapping earlier losses. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex gained 403.65 or 1.14% at 35,756.26. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty fell by 131.10 or 1.24% at 10,735.45.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Steel (4.13%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (3.63%), NTPC (2.85%), Yes Bank (2.57%), Infosys (2.05%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.89%).
On the other hand, Hero Motocorp (0.56%), Hindustan Unilever (0.30%) and Bajaj Auto (0.16%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
