Indian markets ended lower on Thursday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex lost 157.89 or 0.44% at 35,876.22. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty fell by 47.60 or 0.44% at 10,746.05.

Major losers in the 30-share index were Bharti Airtel (3.09%), Infosys (2.01%), Asian Paint (1.66%), Reliance Industries (1.52%) and Coal India (1.50%).

On the other hand, Tata Motors (3.17%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (2.20%), Indusind Bank (1.27%) and ICICI Bank (0.91%) were the biggest gainers in the Sensex.
