State Bank of India (SBI), Corporate Centre, played host to bankers from Fiji, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Mongolia Nepal and a few from within the country.
Debashish Sarkar, CGM & Head STU, explained to them the unique history, legacy and evolution of SBI, a Fortune 500 company. The Bank’s benchmarks, its productivity and performance was elucidated by Sri Mohan Subramaniam, Principal State Bank Staff College, Hyderabad, where the discussion saw a lively interplay of cultures and systems resulting in a very appreciative audience. The e-learning portal of the Bank was of great interest to the guests.
The bankers were on a tour organised by the National Productivity Council in collaboration with the Asian Productivity Organisation.
Shares of the bank declined Rs 0.2, or 0.06%, to trade at Rs 319.25. The total volume of shares traded was 1,709,205 at the BSE (11.53 a.m., Tuesday).
