Saurashtra Cement said a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 3.91 times to Rs 21.92 million from Rs 5.60 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter declined 7.41% to Rs 1,328.65 million, compared with Rs 1,434.94 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.25, registering 10.84% growth over previous year period.
