RPP Infra Projects today announced that it has received a maiden order from Southern Railways worth Rs 119 million. The said work is to be completed in 12 months.

Arul Sundaram, chairman and managing director of RPP Infra Projects said, This is the start of our new relations with Southern Railways of India. With rapid infrastructure development throughout the country and with good margins in this kind of order, company is poised to achieve greater revenues and profits in coming years. Going forward we expect many such orders from Southern Railways."

RPP Infra Projects is currently engaged in business of infrastructure development such as highway roads, bridges, civil construction works, irrigation & water supply projects & power plant.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.1, or 0.91%, to trade at Rs 122.50. The total volume of shares traded was 34,201 at the BSE (10.05 a.m., Monday).
