Anil Ambani led Reliance Communications (RCom), one of the leading telecom operators in India, witnessed a sharp rise in share price on Thursday on media reports of the company's plans to sell its stake in Reliance Infratel under a deal which is said to value the its share in the tower unit at around Rs 220 billion.
Shares of Reliance Communications are trading at Rs 74.40, up Rs 3.25, or 4.57% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 11:09 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 26.08% to 13,134,961 compared with 22-day average volume of 10,417,646.
