An eight member expert committee on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) has submitted its report today to Governor Shaktikanta Das.

In January this year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had set up an eight member expert committee on MSMEs to suggest long-term solutions for the economic and financial sustainability of the MSMEs.

The objective of this committee was to review the current framework for the MSME Sector. Also the committee has examined the factors affecting the timely and adequate availability of finance to the MSME sector.

The committee has suggested various long-term solutions for the economic and financial sustainability of MSMEs.
