RBI raises FII investment limit in Gammon Infra to 49%

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday raised investment limit for foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in Gammon Infrastructure Projects to 49% of the paid up capital under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS). The RBI said, 'The purchases could be made through primary market and stock exchanges and would be subject to Regulation 5(2) of FEMA Notification No.20/2000-RB dated May 03, 2000 (as amended from time to time) and other terms and conditions.'' Shares of the company may go up in tomorrow's trading session on likely buying demand from overseas investors. Shares of the company declined Rs 0.33, or 2.88%, to settle at Rs 11.11. The total volume of shares traded was 58,779 at the BSE (Wednesday).
