Ranbaxy Laboratories said that the company has allotted 6,40,597 equity shares on exercise of stock options under the Employees Stock Option Scheme of the company.

The paid-up equity share capital of the company post allotment is 425,663,497 equity shares of Rs 5 each aggregating Rs 2,128,317,485.

Shares of the company gained Rs 25.05, or 3.73%, to settle at Rs 695.80. The total volume of shares traded was 172,205 at the BSE (Thursday).
