Ace investor, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala picked 0.52% stake in Surana Solar for Rs 13.78 billion. Jhunjhunwala purchased 2,56,500 shares at a price of Rs 53.74 a share.

Surana Solar is engaged in manufacturing solar energy systems with the focus on solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules. The company has a SPV modules manufacturing plant at Cherlapally, Hyderabad, India.

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.35, or 4.24%, to settle at Rs 53.05. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 28,561.26% to 593,652 compared with 22-day average volume of 2,071. (Tuesday)
