Pfizer to sell Thane plant for Rs 1.78 bn

 Pfizer, a leading pharmaceutical company, has entered into a business transfer agreement (BTA) for the transfer of the company's business at the Thane plant as a going concern to Vidhi Research and Development LLP in accordance with the terms of the agreement for a lump sum consideration of Rs 1.78 billion.
 Upon the conclusion of the BTA, all current workmen at the Thane Plant shall be transferred to the buyer so as to facilitate manufacturing operations.
Shares of the company declined Rs 9.7, or 0.37%, to trade at Rs 2,625.00. The total volume of shares traded was 7,329 at the BSE (11.03 a.m., Wednesday).
