Ortel Communications (Ortel), a cable television and high speed broadband services provider, has introduced 50 Mbps Mega Speed DOCSIS 3.0 Broadband Internet in Odisha.
Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) has been developed by CableLabs, which is an International Consortium of Cable Operators and MSOs, and approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T). This technology has been widely used in Europe and USA by leading ISPs.
Bibhu Prasad Rath, president & CEO at Ortel Communications said, ''We are happy to launch mega speed broadband services of upto 50Mbps on DOCSIS 3.0 Technology. Shares of the company gained Rs 6.80, or 4.05%, to settle at Rs 174.90. The total volume of shares traded was 3 at the BSE (Tuesday).
