OMCs hike diesel price by Rs 0.95/litre

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) hiked diesel price by Rs 0.95 a litre Delhi including state levies w.e.f midnight of Oct 15, 2015 with corresponding price revision in other states. With this change, the price diesel will be Rs 44.90 a litre.

Commenting on the price reduction, India's largest OMC, Indian Oil Corporation said, "The current level of the international prices and INR-USD exchange rate warrant a price increase, which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision."

"The movement of prices in international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," it added.
