NMDC, the single largest producer of iron ore in the country, has achieved production and sales of iron ore of 14.44 million tons and 15.85 million tons respectively (provisional) upto September 2014. Rolled over the September, 2014 prices of lump ore ore (Lumps - Rs 4600 Rs/WMT, Fines - Rs 3160 Rs/WMT) to the month of October, 2014.

In August, the company has achieved production and sales of iron ore of 12.10 million tons and 13.57 million tons respectively (provisional) upto August 2014. Rolled over the August, 2014 prices of iron ore (Lumps - Rs 4600 Rs/WMT, Fines - Rs 3160 Rs/WMT) to the month of September, 2014.

Shares of the company declined Rs 6.8, or 4.07%, to settle at Rs 160.15. The total volume of shares traded was 173,640 at the BSE (Tuesday).
