NIIT launches Cloud CampusTM in China

NIIT, an IT learning solutions provider, has launched its innovative and proven Cloud CampusTM internationally, with it going live in China. "This is a significant milestone in the proliferation of this scalable customer engagement and learning delivery platform. As part of this rollout in China, NIIT has extended the break-through Cloud Campus platform to support learners in Mandarin," the company said. 

NIIT Cloud CampusTM enables students to learn from the best teachers irrespective of their geographical location. They can also get hands-on practice through lab exercises in machine rooms at the NIIT centers. It has an innovative 'Anywhere Lab' feature, which allows students to practice the application of concepts learnt in class, from any part of the globe, while chatting with experts to seek answers to their queries.

Speaking on the occasion of the first program launch from the Cloud CampusTM Studio in Wuxi, China, Prakash Menon, President, NIIT China, said, ''This is the start of a journey that will transform our distributed education delivery model in China.''

NIIT was the first Indian IT training company to establish presence in China in the late nineties with a vision to create a manpower pool, to empower the software industry in the country.

''By bringing NIIT’s revolutionary Cloud CampusTM platform to China, we are laying the foundation for the next phase of our growth in China and re-committing to creating a high quality scalable human capacity building model that will accelerate the pace of new technology adoption & skilling,'' said Rahul Keshav Patwardhan, CEO, NIIT.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.35, or 4.76%, to trade at Rs 73.70. The total volume of shares traded was 1,085,435 at the BSE (1.22 p.m., Wednesday).
