National Fertilizers, witnessed a fall in share price on Friday after the company disclosed a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 12.39% to Rs 541 million from Rs 617.50 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined marginally 2.92% to Rs 22,557.70 million, compared with Rs 23,236.30 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 7.25 percent as compared to 7.15 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,636.30 million, compared with Rs 1661.5 million in the previous year period.
Shares of National Fertilizers are trading at Rs 25.70, down Rs 0.25, or 1% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 12:16 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 26.25 and low of Rs 25.20. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 10,910.
