National Aluminium Company (NALCO) announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 33.78% to Rs 2,261.40 million from Rs 3,415.20 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 9.04% to Rs 18,151.10 million, compared with Rs 19,955.20 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 18.69 percent as compared to 23.77 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 3,393.20 million, compared with Rs 4743 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.88, registering 33.83% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.7, or 1.88%, to trade at Rs 36.60. The total volume of shares traded was 58,969 at the BSE (12.06 p.m., Friday).
