Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) disclosed a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 38.61% to Rs 5,505.60 million from Rs 8,968.80 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 13.12% to Rs 95,570.10 million, compared with Rs 110,007.30 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 8.86, registering 39.15% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 37.05, or 3.08%, to trade at Rs 1,238.50. The total volume of shares traded was 120,698 at the BSE (2.14 p.m., Friday).
