Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) announced that the company, as part of aligning its production with sales requirements, would be observing no production days at the company's tractor plants located at Rudrapur and Jaipur for 4 days during the balance period of October, 2014.

The management does not envisage any adverse impact on availability of tractors in the market due to adequacy of tractor stocks to serve the market requirements.

On Oct. 1, 2014, the company announced its auto sales numbers which stood at 44,911 units during September 2014, as against 43,289 units during September 2013, registering a growth of 4%.

Shares of the company declined Rs 49.1, or 3.59%, to settle at Rs 1,318.40. The total volume of shares traded was 41,695 at the BSE (Friday).
