Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a passenger, commercial and utility vehicles maker, today announced a drop of 3.07% in auto sales numbers which stood at 36,706 units during May 2015 as against 37,869 units May 2014.
The passenger vehicles segment sold 18,135 units in May 2015 as against 19,470 units during May 2014. The company's domestic sales stood at 33,369 units during May 2015 as against 35,499 units May 2014.
In May 2015, the medium and heavy commercial vehicles segment sold 343 units, registering a growth of 44%.
Export for May 2015 stood at 3,337 units registering a growth of 41%.
Shares of the company declined Rs 4.6, or 0.37%, to trade at Rs 1,255.60. The total volume of shares traded was 38,968 at the BSE (3.10 p.m., Monday).
