Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the SUV and commercial vehicles manufacturer, announced an decrease of 7.18% in auto sales to 35,175 units during August, 2014 as against 37,897 units sold in August 2013.

The passenger vehicles segment (which includes UVs and the Verito) sold 14,140 units in August 2014, as against 15,821 units during August 2013.

The company's domestic sales stood at 33,145 units during August 2014, as against 35,159 units during August 2013.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.05, or 0.22%, to settle at Rs 1,403.80. The total volume of shares traded was 45,115 at the BSE (Monday).
