MEP Infrastructure Developers, has been awarded tow short term toll collection projects for a period of one year from NHAI, namely Surjapur toll Plaza in the state of West Bengal and Dasna toll plaza in the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) worth Rs 701.1 million.

The company has received the letter of acceptance for toll collection at Surjapur Toll Plaza at Km. 451.00 for the section Km. 447.000 to Km. 498.970 (Dalkhola to Islampore) on NH-31 in the State of West Bengal for a period of one year. The amount payable to NHAI for this project is Rs 420.3 million to be remitted on weekly basis.

MEP has also received letter of acceptance for toll collection at Dasna toll plaza at Km 29.30 in the section from Km 27.643 to Km 48.638 (Ghaziabad-Hapur) & Hapur Bypass Section of 11.250 Km on NH-24 in the State of Uttar Pradesh for a period of 1 year. The amount payable to NHAI for this project is Rs 280.8 million payable on weekly basis.

Mhaiskar, vice chairman & managing director, MEP Infrastructure Developers said, "We are delighted to get awarded 2 toll collection projects from NHAI out of which we had operated Dasna Toll plaza in the recent past. Prior to these 2 new projects, we have added 6 projects during this fiscal comprising of 5 short term toll collection projects awarded by NHAI & RIDCOR with authority remittance of Rs 3.17 billion.''

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.35, or 0.68%, to settle at Rs 51.60. The total volume of shares traded was 294,185 at the BSE (Tuesday).
