Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India announced a growth of 13.9% in sales volume to 116,606 units in January, 2015 compared with 102,416 units sold in January, helped by domestic as well as exports growth.
It exported 11,047 vehicles, which was 88.9% higher compared with 5,847 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales during the month stood at 105,559 units, compared with 96,569 units in January last year, representing a rise of 9.3%.
Shares of the company gained Rs 53.5, or 1.47%, to trade at Rs 3,698.75. The total volume of shares traded was 21,506 at the BSE (11.48 a.m., Monday).
