Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India announced a surge in sales volume of 29.64% to 111,748 units in April, 2015 compared with 86,196 units sold in April last year.
Domestic sales during the month stood at 100,709 units, compared with 79,119 units in April last year, representing a rise of 27.3%.
It exported 11,039 vehicles, which was 56% higher compared with 7,077 units in the same month last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 37.7, or 1%, to trade at Rs 3,796.35. The total volume of shares traded was 19,733 at the BSE (11.14 a.m., Tuesday).
