Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India announced a fall of 1.06% in sales volume to 103,973 units in October 2014 compared with 105,087 units sold in October 2013. It exported 6,904 vehicles, which was 23.5% lower compared with 9,025 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales during the month stood at 97,069 units, compared with 96,062 units in October last year, representing a rose of 1.05%.
With this, the company finished H1 2014-15 with total sales of 7,25,765 units, a growth of 12.16% over same period previous year. Domestic sales in H1 2014-15 stood at 6,55,399 units, a growth of 12.42% over same period previous year.
Shares of the company declined Rs 42.1, or 1.26%, to trade at Rs 3,296.25. The total volume of shares traded was 10,684 at the BSE (9.54 a.m., Monday).
