Marico, one of India's leading consumer products companies, witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after it disclosed a steady growth in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 11.71% to Rs 1,182.61 million from Rs 1,058.65 million in the same quarter last year.

Net sales for the quarter rose 27.96% to Rs 14,311.74 million, compared with Rs 11,184 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company trading at Rs 307.90, up Rs 5.8, or 1.92% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 3 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 311.35 and low of Rs 301.30. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 77,482.
