Maharashtra CM inaugurates Jain Irrigation's IQF plant

The IQF plant of Jain Irrigation's fruit and vegetable processing division, was inaugurated in Jalgaon by Devendra Phadnavis, CM of Maharashtra on Jun. 20, 2015 in Jalgaon.

The IQF plant incorporates both Individual Quick Frozen (IQF) and Block Quick Frozen (BQF) technologies and has 40 TPD IQF capacity and 16 TPD BQF capacity.  The IQF plant is designed to handle around 60,000 MT of fruits like mango, banana, pomegranate, papaya, jamun, strawberry, sapota, etc. annually.

The products from this IQF facility would be exported to USA, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East from which the company expects to earn Rs 1 billion in foreign exchange annually.

The plant has all quality standard certifications like BRC, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001, Halal and Kosher. 

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.6, or 2.38%, to settle at Rs 68.80. The total volume of shares traded was 426,686 at the BSE (Monday).
