Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an engineering and construction conglomerate, witnessed a rise in share price on Tuesday after L&T Construction has bagged orders worth Rs 25.21 billion in the month of December' 14 in both the domestic & international markets.
L&T Oman LLC, a subsidiary of L&T, has won a prestigious order from the ministry of transport & communications, Sultanate of Oman, for the construction of a new passenger terminal at Duqm Airport in Oman. The scope of work includes constructing a modern passenger terminal building with a capacity to handle 500,000 passengers per annum, a 37-metre high air traffic control tower, and an air cargo terminal equipped to handle 25,000 tonnes of cargo per annum.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,506.45, up Rs 14.15, or 0.95% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:37 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,511.20 and low of Rs 1,500.05. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 29,785.
