The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders worth Rs 21.12 billion.

The buildings & factories business has secured orders worth Rs 15.65 billion. An order has been secured from Airport Authority of India for the Modernization of Chennai Airport, Phase-II, Chennai, Tamilnadu. This brown field project is to be completed in two phases within stringent time lines and involves the construction of 2.1 Million Sq. ft. of passenger terminal building including basement, finishing works, electro-mechanical works and airport Systems.

Another order has been received from a leading developer for the construction of Multi Level Car Parking with an integrated commercial mall at Chennai airport. This project involves the construction of 1 million Sq. ft. of Multi Level Car Parking Building including 2.5 lakhs Sq. ft. of commercial mall on design and build model.

The power transmission & distribution business has secured orders worth Rs 5.47 billion. A major EPC order is secured from a reputed customer. This order is for turnkey construction of EHV Substations.

Shares of the company gained Rs 11.45, or 0.86%, to settle at Rs 1,338.65. The total volume of shares traded was 63,766 at the BSE (Thursday).
