KEC International surges nearly 5% on huge order

KEC International, a RPG Group infrastructure EPC major, witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after it  has secured new orders valuing Rs 6.22 billion in its transmission & distribution, cables and cables businesses.

In transmission & distribution business, the company has secured orders in India, Kenya and the America`s amounting to Rs 5.10 billion.

The company has also secured orders of Rs 1.12 billion for the supply of power and telecom cables.

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 140, up Rs 6.35, or 4.75% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 866.67% to 1,886,611 compared with 22-day average volume of 195,165.
