Jubilant FoodWorks, operator of Dominos pizza stores, witnessed a sharp rally in share price on Friday after the company reported encouraging quarterly financial results. It disclosed a rise of 26.37% in net profit to Rs 315.3 million for the Mar. 31, 2015, against Rs 249.5 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Total income for the quarter rose 24.77% to Rs 5.44 billion, compared with Rs 4.36 billion for the prior year period.
Shares of the company gained Rs 178.3, or 11.36%, to settle at Rs 1,747.90. The total volume of shares traded was 346,236 at the BSE (Friday).
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 732.44% to 3,316,242 compared with 22-day average volume of 398,374.
