JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, has reported highest quarterly crude steel production to 3.4 million tons (MnT) for the first quarter of FY 2015-16. This marks increase in 10% more production of crude steel. For the first quarter of Fy 2014-15, the company reported 3.10 MnT of crude steel production.
Also the company reported production of flat rolled products during the quarter at 2.5 MnT, up 3% or 0.07 MnT over last year period.
The company witnessed a robust growth of 32% in the production of long rolled products to 0.69 MnT in the first quarter from 0.52 MnT in the same period last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 4.55, or 0.55%, to settle at Rs 835.55. The total volume of shares traded was 91,839 at the BSE (Monday).
