JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, has recorded 11% increase in crude steel production to 3.30 million tons during second quarter of FY2014-15 compared with corresponding quarter of previous year.
Production of rolled products was at 2.61 million tons during the quarter, witnessing a rise of 6% over last year period.
Production of rolled products-long increased by 21% during the quarter to 0.56 million tons.
The company achieved cumulative crude steel production of 6.40 million tons in the first half of FY'15 showing a growth of 10% over the corresponding period of last year.
Shares of the company declined Rs 36.6, or 3.02%, to trade at Rs 1,177.20. The total volume of shares traded was 20,731 at the BSE (10.55 a.m., Friday).
