Jet Airways to boost domestic connectivity with additional flights

Jet Airways (India), a provider of domestic and international airline services, is further expanding its domestic network with additional frequencies on India's high demand routes and by linking cities with expanding potential.

With the addition of these new frequencies, Jet Airways will increase its daily seats deployment on the domestic network from 63,500 to 64,500 per day.

The new frequency between the metro cities Mumbai and Chennai will start with effect from July 23, 2015.

Raj Sivakumar, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said, ''The additional frequencies have been introduced to cater to the growing demand on the high density routes and to ensure better connectivity between India’s emerging cities. Our constant effort is to provide our guests with convenient travel options and seamless connectivity across our network. These new frequencies are in line with Jet Airways' strategy to deliver a consistent, full service travel experience on the domestic network and we are confident that these new flights will prove to be popular with our guests.''

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.25, or 1.89%, to trade at Rs 337.35. The total volume of shares traded was 377,101 at the BSE (3.29 p.m., Monday).
