Jet Airways in codeshare pact with Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines

Jet Airways (India), a provider of domestic and international airline services, has expanded the scope of its codeshare agreements with Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines, the flag carriers of Indonesia and Vietnam respectively.

Jet Airways will place its code (9W) on Garuda Indonesia flights operating between Singapore (SIN) and the popular leisure destination - Bali Denpasar, (DPS) in Indonesia. Guests travelling on both Jet Airways and Garuda Indonesia will be able to fly between various points on connecting flights operated by the carriers effective April 20, 2015.

Jet Airways currently codeshares with Garuda Indonesia between Singapore (SIN)  and Jakarta (CGK).

Similarly, Jet Airways will place its code (9W) on Vietnam Airlines’ flights operating between Singapore and Phu Quoc Island and vice versa effective April 15, 2015. This is in addition to the existing codeshare flights aligned with Vietnam Airlines between Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HK), Singapore (SIN) and Hanoi (HAN), the capital of Vietnam. Jet Airways offers services to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) through Bangkok from its hubs in Mumbai and Delhi.

The expanded codeshare cooperation with Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines further strengthens our position in Asia, allowing us to win new customers in the region and providing more options and easy connections to our existing guests."Jet Airways has 21 codeshare partners across the globe.

Shares of the company declined Rs 4.4, or 0.9%, to settle  at  Rs 482.95.  The total volume of shares traded  was  152,433 at  the BSE (Friday).
