Jain Irrigation Systems on Friday announced a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 30.78% to Rs 985.30 million from Rs 753.40 million in the same quarter previous year.

Total income for the quarter rose 11.41% to Rs 20,425.30 million, compared with Rs 18,333 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.6, or 16.9%, to trade at Rs 66.40. The total volume of shares traded was 2,109,806 at the BSE (11.37 a.m., Monday).
