Infosys, a leading consulting, technology, outsourcing and next-generation services provider, has completed the acquisition of Noah Consulting, LLC, a leading provider of advanced information management consulting services for the oil and gas industry.

The company said, "The acquisition is in accordance with the terms set out in the agreement announced by the company on Oct. 19, 2015."

Noah's deep industry knowledge, information strategy planning, data governance and architecture capabilities combined with Infosys' ability to provide technology and outsourcing services, will offer clients in the oil and gas industry next-generation data analytics solutions.

Shares of the company gained Rs 28.15, or 2.76%, to trade at Rs 1,048.00. The total volume of shares traded was 296,613 at the BSE (3.23 p.m., Thursday).
