Hindustan Zinc shares witnessed a fall on Friday after it reported a fall of 4.05% in second-quarter mined metal production to 213,000 tons from the 222,000 tons in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year. It reported 30.67% increase on sequential basis.
Integrated production of refined zinc was at 174,000 tons in Q2 and 312,000 tons in H1 FY 2014-15, down by 11% and 15% respectively from a year ago.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 154.80, down Rs 6.35, or 3.94% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 3:26 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 160.30 and low of Rs 153.75. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 66,211.
