Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, sold over 1 million units of its bikes and scooters during the festive season this year.
Starting from Navratras, the company took about 35 days to cross 1 million sales mark. The company has recorded 11% growth in its festive season sales over the last year.
The company's newly launched scooters - Maestro Edge and Duet received overwhelming response from buyers, and there has also been great demand for the new Splendor Pro.
These, along with the robust sales of Passion Pro and Glamour, and the continuing popularity of Pleasure and Maestro scooters have resulted in this double digit growth.
Shares of the company declined Rs 32.8, or 1.26%, to settle at Rs 2,565. The total volume of shares traded was 18,610 at the BSE (Wednesday).
