Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has clocked over five lakhs of units of two-wheelers in the month of May 2015.
The company has consistently managed to report over five lakh unit sales month-on-month inspite of the slowing rural economy and moderating wages in the rural market.
HMCL sold 569,876 units of two-wheelers in May. In the corresponding month last year, the company sold 602,481 two-wheelers.
Shares of the company declined Rs 99.75, or 3.68%, to trade at Rs 2,609.95. The total volume of shares traded was 46,860 at the BSE (3.02 p.m., Tuesday).
