Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), leading two-wheeler manufacturer, reported a fall of 14.08% in net profit for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2015. Market was expecting profit to come at Rs 6.56 billion.
During the quarter net profit stood at Rs 4.76 billion for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 5.54 billion in the same period last year.
The company saw an increase of 3.77% in total income to Rs 68.86 billion from Rs 66.36 billion in the same quarter last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 28.15, or 1.21%, to settle at Rs 2,354.10. The total volume of shares traded was 100,251 at the BSE (Thursday).
