HCL Technologies, one of the leading software exporters, said that the employees stock option allotment committee of the company has allotted shares under the 1999, 2000 and 2004 stock option plans of the company. The allotment of 1,68,460 equity shares is made of Rs 2 a share.
Consequent to the said allotment, the paid-up share capital of the company has gone upto 701,303,613 equity shares of Rs 2 a share aggregating to Rs 1,402,607,226.
Recently, the nomination and remuneration committee has granted 15,000 options at a price of Rs 380 under HCL Infosystems -Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2000. This is including a premium of Rs 370 per option. Each option confers a right to apply for 5 equity shares of Rs 2 each.
Shares of the company gained Rs 29.45, or 1.76%, to settle at Rs 1,699.75. The total volume of shares traded was 40,570 at the BSE (Monday).
