HCL Infosystems sign three year contract with NISPL

NISPL (subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile OY) and HCL Infosystems, India's premier IT services and distribution company has signed a contract that will enhance the footprint of Microsoft Mobile devices across the organized trade and general trade channels and rural India.

This engagement strengthens HCL Infosystems' partnership with NISPL (subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile OY) for distribution of mobile devices and is geared to trigger significant business growth and synergy for both companies. The partnership also enables both companies to explore new channels to enhance their last-mile connect.

HCL Infosystems is one of the largest distribution organizations in India in terms of revenue with a network of over 1,00,000 retail outlets, 800 direct distributors and 12,400 channel partners across 15,000 towns and 664 districts.

Sutikshan Naithani, joint president, consumer distribution business, HCL Infosystems, said, ''This engagement with Microsoft Mobile Devices is at the core of our strategy, as it presents us with an opportunity to widen our existing channel reach. We envisage this association unlocking new markets for both the organizations by leveraging our respective strengths.''

Shares of the company gained Rs 4.8, or 10.43%, to settle at Rs 50.80. The total volume of shares traded was 1,485,821 at the BSE (Monday).
