Hatsun Agro Product disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 3.91 times to Rs 286.89 million from Rs 73.33 million in the same quarter last year.

Revenues for the quarter rose 23.30% to Rs 8,671.10 million, compared with Rs 7,033 million for the prior year period.

Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.64, registering 3.88 times growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 49.45, or 12.6%, to trade at Rs 441.90. The total volume of shares traded was 35,154 at the BSE (11.02 a.m., Thursday).
