Gujarat Gas Company, a natural gas transmission and distribution company, witnessed a rise in share price on Wednesday after it said that it has received approval to start gas distribution in the city of Thane.

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 758.40, up Rs 91.35, or 13.69% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 768.80 and low of Rs 701.30. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 489,839.
